Why we went

We were looking for a peaceful walk that would take less than an hour—somewhere with trees, a creek, and a mostly flat grade that older visitors could comfortably enjoy.

Conkles Hollow gave us exactly that: an easier walk with a genuine Hocking Hills sense of adventure.

“The walk was great, and it was cool in the gorge. The scenery—with those tall cliff faces—was outstanding.”

— What stood out to us

WHAT WE FOUND

Cool shade and towering cliffs

The Lower Gorge Trail follows the creek beneath a canopy of trees. Even on a warm day, the gorge felt noticeably cooler, while the tall sandstone cliff faces made this manageable walk feel spectacular.
